Eight posts left until this challenge is complete. I am super proud of myself for sticking with it in a pretty timely manner. 😀 Anyway, today’s topic is to discuss where I see myself in 5 years, 10 years, and 15 years? So, are ya ready?!
Here we go:
In five years I will be 34 and will be married (a fact of which is happening this year!) and I hope to be graduated from University with a Bachelor’s in English Literature. The school of origin that the degree comes from is irrelevant, just as long as it is a B.A., I’ll be satisfied. Also, I hope to be living in a bigger home than my current apartment where you can walk five steps and be at either side of it. It doesn’t have to be a purchased home, that might come later, however, a larger rented space would suit us well. Plus that way it can allow me to have my other hope for the five year time slot, a pooch! I desperately miss having a dog, especially since I have grown up with them all my life, but I want to have the space for him/her to run around more freely before I get another.
In ten years time, at 39 years young, I hope we own a home, whether it be a house or condo, I don’t care. We don’t need tons of space, just enough for us and our future little family. In fact, I prefer smaller homes, less to clean and less chance that some crazy is hiding in an empty room or upstairs. Eek! No thank you! Anyway, I also hope that we have kids. Not too many because the birth idea is not my favorite one, however, I do want kids. Hopefully I will have a job that I love and so will my fiance, who is also working toward his degree right now and is hoping to move up to management with his current job down the road. I hope that I have a group of people in my life whom I can count on and are involved in my life, including my soon-to-be husband and kids lives. My biggest goal for this period would be to write and publish a book, or some work of writing. It’d also be great to be a more knowledgeable and skilled photographer.
In fifteen years time, at 44, I hope to be happy with my guy by my side and our wonderful friends and family to enrich our lives further. I hope to live somewhere with a porch and rocking chairs out front, to prepare for when we are old and grey so that we can sit in them like my great grandma did on her own porch, waiting for the kids to come up the walk. Ah, memories…
Where do you see yourself in five, ten, and fifteen years?
