Valentine’s Day 2015

10914138_830989850291385_470048594_nMy husband and I had a great Valentine’s Day weekend. We spent quality time together relaxing and eating great food. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and I wanted to share with you all the yummy things we munched on.

Up first was dinner. We decided to get takeout from our favorite hibachi place, Saito’s Japanese Steakhouse. I know what you’re probably thinking: hibachi as takeout? And the answer is YES! They package it in boxes that are bento style where there are three compartments, keeping all the yummy goodness from mixing up before it gets home. So the veggies are in the two small areas and the chicken is in the main area. Our fried rice was packaged separately and of course, what would hibachi be without yum yum sauce? So we got extra of that. I mean, YUM! This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten hibachi to go so we knew how great it transports home prior to ordering and this restaurant never disappoints us.

For dessert I made molten chocolate cakes based on a recipe I found through Pinterest that can be found here. They came out really well and I didn’t even have to add any baking time to it, which seems to be a common thing with our oven. My hubby was delighted and since it made 12 (which is insane for two people), he brought the leftovers to work tonight to share with his coworkers. I served them topped with powdered sugar and a scoop of Häagen Dazs vanilla bean ice cream.
